mac addresses issue

 on RHEL 7.5

1. check version OS

[root@rozhodca~]# cat /etc/*release

2. check biosdevname=1 net.ifcnames=1 --- line=6 in /etc/default/grub

if not biosdevname=1 net.ifcnames=1 then vi /etc/default/grub (must be biosdevname=1 net.ifcnames=1)

[root@rozhodca ~]# cat /etc/default/grub GRUB_TIMEOUT=5 GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR="$(sed 's, release .*$,,g' /etc/system-release)" GRUB_DEFAULT=saved GRUB_DISABLE_SUBMENU=true GRUB_TERMINAL_OUTPUT="console" GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="crashkernel=auto rd.lvm.lv=sysvg/root_vol rd.lvm.lv=sysvg/swap_vol rd.lvm.lv=sysvg/user_vol biosdevname=1 net.ifnames=1 rhgb quiet" GRUB_DISABLE_RECOVERY="true" 

3. configuration grub:

grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg

4.compare macadresses vmware and linux network

check network adapter 1 (macaddress )

example: network adapter 1: 11:88:56:87:77:da exapmle linux: ifconfig ens192 -> 11:88:56:87:77:da

(all of interfaces)

5. check or rewrite config

new

DEVICE=ens192 NAME=ens192

HWADDR=11:88:56:87:77:da

6. reboot and pray :-)
