Installation MS Visual Studio on Linux

How to install MS Visual Studio on Linux?





1. check repositories: 

apt update

2. install necessary software
apt install software-properties-common apt-transport-https


3. Adding GPG key

wget -q https://packages.microsoft.com/keys/microsoft.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add -

4. Download and add repository: 

 wget -q https://packages.microsoft.com/keys/microsoft.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add -


 sudo add-apt-repository "deb [arch=amd64] https://packages.microsoft.com/repos/vscode stable main"






5. check repository (check Microsoft repository)


apt update

6. install Visual studio

apt install code


root@guliverkel:/home/martin# apt install code
